...but I've really enjoyed this experience with fellow photographers from my local photo club, the Godmanchester Photographic Society.
Street photography for me is close to what I do during motorsport and sport events, get close to people. But the difference this time was the strange people of the street (this time Cambridge) who I don't know and also they have no clue I do this for living because I dress like them, no shiny media tabard.
So it was a double first time for me. Street photography and two camera bodies.
One of them was the Sony a6000, which was fast, clever for focusing, 11FPS shooting speed and electronic viewfinder which is amazing. The only throwback is the one memory card slot, but part from that I would love to sell all my Nikon gear and buy some Sony glasses.
The other one of course was my Nikon D7100, just encase if the Sony fail during the day. Which it did battery life wise and also as I wasn't sure how good in rainy condtition. So I used Nikon with a 35mm f/1.8 fixed focal length lens, which is always challenging as I cannot zoom, but this's why I like primes. And the BOKEH!
Still happy with the result and it was a good call to bring with me to Cambridge.
I really enjoyed the whole experience with my fellow togs and cannot wait for the next meet (one after the Cathedral visit), or I just jump on the train and head towards London.
What do you think? Should I try other cities too? Leave a comment below.
